iZotope Launches New Post Production Vocal Software Dialogue Match

Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 |

Music software company, iZotope has launched Dialogue Match, the first tool to automatically learn and match the sonic character of dialogue recordings. The new product is the first to combine brand-new machine learning from iZotope with reverb technology from Exponential Audio’s product line, which was acquired by the Boston company earlier this year.

Dialogue Match allows users to analyze audio to extract a sonic profile, then apply the profile to any other dialogue track for fast and easy environmental consistency in scene recordings. This is often an issue with matching vocals from various sources when recording for TV, movies and ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement). This now allows for that process to happen in seconds and not hours of painstaking work.

“Users who have tested Dialogue Match are telling us that it will change the way they approach dialogue editing forever,” said iZotope’s Senior Product Manager, Mike Rozett. “We are very excited to collaborate with Exponential Audio founder Michael Carnes on this product and we’re both convinced that this technology will revolutionize the laborious process of getting continuity in dialogue.”

Dialogue Match Features:

EQ Module leverages the EQ matching mechanics of iZotope’s Ozone 9 to quickly learn and match the tonal and spectral characteristics of dialogue.

Reverb Module Reverb Module uses brand-new reverb matching technology, powered by machine learning, to capture spatial reflections from one recording and accurately apply them to another via Exponential Audio’s clean, realistic reverb engine.

Ambience Module analyzes the spectral noise profile of a recording, and identifies and re-creates room tone for dramatic acceleration of the ADR workflow.

Dialogue Match Specifications:

DM is now available as a standalone AudioSuite Plugin for $599 MSRP. iZotope does not currently support its use for any host application other than Pro Tools 11 or later.

The new software will also be available as part of the following bundles via the company website.

Post Production Surround Reverb Bundle ($1,199 MSRP)

RX 7 Advanced Reverb Bundle ($1,499 MSRP)

RX Post Production Suite 4 ($1,999 MSRP)

If you want to know about our industry from the people that make it happen then go to WMC. It’s an accelerated masterclass in all things dance music.

Carl Cox

DJ/Intec Records

I first went to WMC ’87, the year I started Big Beat. It was an incredibly inspiring congregation of indie labels, DJs, artists, songwriters, producers and dance music lovers dedicated to breaking and discovering new music. WMC has been instrumental in furthering the dance and electronic cause; keeping the community connected, vital and relevant, and serving as an amazing springboard for talent. It’s a fantastic crucible for the future of dance music. Long may it live.

Craig Kallman

CEO & Co-Chairman Atlantic Records, Founder Big Beat Records

Miami has always been a place I’ve considered home and WMC was essential for me and the label in many ways. From showcasing our new music to keeping up with all the new artists and releases. It was the official kickoff of the year and I’m happy to see it thriving again.

Louie Vega

DJ/Vega Records

WMC is and has always been the lifeblood of the dance music scene. Never missed a year since ’96, I can’t imagine Amsterdam Dance Event or Ibiza Music Summit existing without the blueprint that WMC originated. Seeing this revived is absolutely essential to reunifying the North American scene surrounding electronic music and its fringes.
