Help The US Copyright Office Modernize the Digital Copyright System

Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 |

Good news for those creatives that deal with copyright issues. In an attempt to modernize the digital registration system, The US Copyright Office is asking for your help—in the form of feedback. “The U.S. Copyright Office has published a notice of inquiry requesting written comments on how to improve the regulations and practices related to the registration of copyright claims in the digital age,” so reads a Federal Register notice published by the Library of Congress.

If you are a creative or deal with copyright issues on a regular basis, you have until January 15th, 2019, at 11:59 pm EST to be heard. If you’re interested in providing official feedback, you’ll need to do so via regulations.gov.  For detailed rules and to access the comment submission form go here.
