David Rishty began his career in the music industry as a writer, contributing to publications including Billboard, where he later launched the Billboard Dance 100 artist ranking and partnered with brands such as SiriusXM and Apple Music. He also founded Exchange Management, applying that same brand-building approach directly to artist development. Since its inception, the company’s roster has collectively generated over 700 million streams and performed at more than 400 shows worldwide. For the past six and a half years, Rishty has brought this management mindset to Palm Tree Records, taking a holistic approach to artist development. Palm Tree’s roster remains select at less than a dozen artists, yet has amassed over 1.25 billion total streams to date.
