Carlos Alcala is a Los Angeles–based music executive and Director of A&R at Ultra Records. With over a decade leading A&R in the dance music space, he built a reputation for discovering and developing forward-thinking talent while helping shape records that resonated globally across clubs, festivals, and streaming platforms.
Throughout his career, Carlos worked closely with both emerging and established artists including Tiësto, Kaskade, ACRAZE, Wuki, and Gudfella, helping guide creative direction, identify breakout records, and build long-term careers in electronic music. His work contributed to several major wins in the dance music world, including the global breakout of ACRAZE’s “Do It To It,” which has amassed over a billion streams worldwide and became one of the defining dance records of its era, as well as the continued global growth of artists like Wuki with releases supported across major DSPs, radio, and festival stages around the world.
