ALOK is a bona fide Latin-GRAMMY nominated dance music superstar and philanthropist known for chart-topping collaborations with the likes of John Legend, Ellie Goulding, Ava Max, and Bebe Rexha. In 2024, he received his first two Latin GRAMMY Music Award nominations in the new ‘Best Latin Electronic Music Performance’ category for his songs, “Pedju Kunumigwe” with Guarani Nhandewa from his The Future Is Ancestral album, and “Drum Machine” with DJ Pickle. Alok is also a renowned philanthropist and environmental advocate, having founded The Alok Instituto, which has donated more than 10 million dollars to social and environmental projects worldwide, and being an ambassador for United Nations Environmental Programme. His charity philanthropic music project, The Future Is Ancestral, aims to amplify indigenous voices and their call to protect the environment by collaborating with seven indigenous tribes from different regions of Brazil and donating all proceeds to them. In 2022 and 2023 he performed the album with his Brazilian indigenous collaborators on the rooftop of the United Nations Headquarters in NY during an event with panels at the opening of Climate Week.
