Sam has over a decade of experience building and leading content programming, curation, and editorial teams for digital music services. As an early member of the Rhapsody team, he helped write the playbook on how to use content to help users discover new music. After that, he worked on building the Google Play marketplace, where he oversaw all curation and original content teams for the music vertical. Since leaving Google in 2014, he founded his agency, Third Bridge Creative, a content marketing firm that works directly with digital music services, brands, ticketing services, and record labels. He recently finished a limited, full-time engagement with SoundCloud to build that services editorial and curation department. His focus has been using content that connects users with catalog material and breaking new music through supplementary, contextual content (playlisting, video, etc).
