Jeremy Waks is Co-Founder and Board Member of Debris Free Oceans, a Miami-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that inspires local communities to responsibly manage the lifecycle of plastics and waste as part of a global initiative to eradicate marine debris from our beaches, reefs, and oceans. Jeremy also serves as a Board Member on the City of Miami Beach Sustainability Committee, which gives recommendations to the City Commission to implement sustainable practices throughout the community.
Jeremy has spearheaded sustainability initiatives in his businesses, including ARBOR, a Florida Green Building Certified development in Coconut Grove, and TREEHOUSE, an event venue on Miami Beach that is a founding member of Miami Beach’s #plasticfreeMB campaign. Jeremy Waks graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Environmental Science.
