Access 2019, Industry 2019

Ben Hogan

Ben Hogan is a music agent at leading global talent and entertainment company, United Talent Agency (UTA). In this role he oversees artists in the electronic music division such as NGHTMRE, SLANDER, SNAILS, OOKAY, ELOHIM and GOLDFISH. Previously Hogan spent nine years at Circle Talent Agency, which was acquired by UTA in 2018.

Having started working professionally in dance music at the age of 17, Hogan produced events for all ages in Baltimore, Maryland. He recognized dance music’s imminent rise and teamed up with Steez Promotions where he worked on shows like Starscape and helped cultivate new audiences for the genre. He successfully expanded the company’s club events in Baltimore as well as other northeast markets. Hogan relocated to Los Angeles in 2012 to work as an agent at Circle Talent Agency.

Hogan has since built an impressive roster that spans the full field of genres in dance music, touring acts internationally and selling out some of the biggest venues in the country.

Miami has always been a place I’ve considered home and WMC was essential for me and the label in many ways. From showcasing our new music to keeping up with all the new artists and releases. It was the official kickoff of the year and I’m happy to see it thriving again.

I’m so glad to see WMC rebooted with such thoughtful content and first-class curation. It’s been a long time since the industry had a must-do American event and this is it. The reborn WMC!

I feel fortunate to have been part of the first-ever WMC. Over the 35 years, it has grown to give us an international forum where we exchange music and ideas. As an attendee and host of many of the award shows, I am proud each time I see new young talent emerge and then become world-renowned. We all have so many Winter Music Conference moments of hearing a seminal breakthrough record for the first time as well as a new DJ with star quality. Magical moments in my career.
