Throughout BILL COLEMAN’s impressive 23-year career in the music industry, the multi-faceted DJ, producer, remixer, music supervisor, performer, recording artist, writer and influential tastemaker has become renown for his eclectic taste, acute ear and diverse musical expertise. The tireless “renaissance man” has enjoyed success as a revered music journalist (Dance and Singles Reviews Editor for Billboard Magazine '87 -'90), has written a music column for NYC style rag PAPER, sat on the initial editorial board for OUT Magazine and freelanced for numerous international media outlets. As the owner of Peace Bisquit, Coleman along with ANGELO “PEPE" SKORDOS, ERIN FAIRMAN and JAMIE BRUNDAGE represent an array of genre-defying artists including: ULTRA NATÉ, CHRIS WILLIS, CAZWELL, JONATHAN MENDELSOHN, THE ONES, JILL JONES, COLTON FORD and others. Peace Bisquit also are the home base for a cadre of hot producers and songwriters that include REDTOP, WAWA, LOST DAZE and CRAIG C. Peace Bisquit is a multi-tiered, Brooklyn-based company (founded in '90) that also incorporates A&R consultancy, music supervision, sound design and a record company. They are often recognized for their part in discovering and developing the influential, platinum-selling trio Deee-lite and have worked with and/or served as A&R and/or remix consultant for the likes of: Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Nicks, Bette Midler, Johnny Cash, Scissor Sisters, Donna Summer, LeTigre, Rupaul, Sinead O’Connor, Book Of Love and Tom Tom Club; have acted as music supervisor, creative consultant and contributor to a number of acclaimed features and programming including the films Party Monster, Party Girl, the Another Gay Movie series, photographer Joe Oppedisano’s Knockout!, television shows True Blood and Entourage and the acclaimed documentary Inside: Deep Throat. As a DJ and sound designer, Bill Coleman is adept at mixing a musical tapestry of varied genres. The much in-demand maestro has sound designed for various fashion shows, art installations and special events sponsored by Nike, Radiohead, Kangol, Vogue, AOL, Marc Bouwer, DIFFA, The Brand New Heavies, World Of Wonder, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Russell Simmons, Imogen Heap, 2-Xist and Bloomingdales. Over the years, Coleman has had the fortune of keeping hands in the air at such hot venues as APT, Cielo, Santos Party House, The F-Word, Sugarland, Mr. Black, G Lounge, Wonderbar, The Pyramid, Sound Factory Bar, Limelight, Opaline, Save The Robots, The Hole, The Tunnel, Bar D’O, Centro-Fly, The Eagle, S.O.B.’s, The Shelter, Splash, The Cock, Ministry Of Sound, Queer Nation, Heaven and Yellow. Besides heading up his own popular NYC performance troupe called Daisy Spurs, Bill also finds time to be a member of Grammy winner Jody Watley’s touring band!
