Panelist Schedule:

John Dicksonʼs career encompasses film and TV scoring (Burn Notice, The Good Guys, SyFy Channel movies, etal), music direction, arranging for some of pop music's most legendary artists, and instrumental performance and orchestration on Grammy-winning albums. John has been active in many areas of the music business and has showcased his various talents in nearly every facet of the industry. A Texas native, John began his musical journey at a very early age, developing a complex and varied musical arsenal. Within a short time of moving to Los Angeles in the early 90's he performed or recorded with the likes of Alanis Morissette, Harry Connick Jr., Lionel Ritchie, Shirley Horn, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and "Weird" Al Yankovic, not to mention playing on dozens of film scores, TV shows, and national commercials. As an arranger/orchestrator John has worked with some of the all time greats including Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Billy Joel, Liza Minnelli, Johnny Mathis, Patti Austin, Eddie van Halen, Kenny Loggins, and the Temptations. He has also provided music and orchestrations for film and TV projects like the 2002 action hit xXx, Cool World, The Wonder Years, Crossroads, Stephen King's The Stand, and many others. John was honored to work with jazz legend Chick Corea as an orchestrator on a number of works including the 2000 Grammy Award-winning arrangement "Spain for Sextet and Orchestra." As a composer John's recent work includes USAʼs smash hit Burn Notice, Moving Pictureʼs Miss Nobody, starring Leslie Bibb and Adam Goldberg, Foxʼs The Good Guys, the upcoming Sam Axe movie at USA, indie feature Munger Road, and other projects. He has scored numerous national commercials and trailers for clients such as Disney, Mattel, GM, O & M, J. Walter Thompson, Miller and all the major networks, and his compositions have appeared in everything from The Oprah Winfrey Show, to Sony's Who Killed the Electric Car, to General Hospital to The NFL on Fox. He has also scored over a dozen sci-fi/horror features including Mammoth, Alien Lockdown, Lost Colony, and Mark Lesterʼs Pterodactyl. He is a multiple ASCAP TV and Film Music Award winner. John is an honors graduate of The University of Miami (FL) and Stephen F Austin University in Texas.
